Frank Wooldridge announced that he has started a new company that will focus on personnel investigations, pre-employment background checks, and supporting small municipalities who require private investigations services. His company is named “Legacy PI by Frank Wooldridge”.

Jennifer Henry came to the meeting sporting a new glove. Well actually, it is a beautiful, color-coordinated cast on her right arm. It is a result of a fall that occurred while galivanting on an ocean pier. Fortunately, she is left-handed, but still finds it annoying to have a wrist/hand in a cast. Get well soon!
Amy and Jeff Bell are still recovering from an auto accident. Their family is looking after their needs at home. They have requested that we give them time to heal before inundating them with our calls, visits, etc. Stephanie Baker will keep us informed on their progress.
Jeff is a past president of South Rotary Club. He joined BBRC when the South Club made the difficult decision to give up their club charter due to declining membership. South Club is the parent club of BBRC, we owe them a debt of gratitude for deciding in 1983 to charter a morning club. We appreciate our “cousins” who have joined BBRC. (Stephanie Baker came to us from South also.)

William Gordon is becoming quite the representative for Bakersfield and Kern County. He was quoted in an article in the Los Angeles times about people moving to Kern and other desert areas. It seems people are discovering that their $3 million for a home goes much further outside of the greater Los Angeles area. American Public Radio also interviewed Willie regarding real estate, housing, supply, demand and affordability. He rep’d us well! I am sure he worked references to Rotary in the interviews, but they must have been cut in the editing. Congratulations Willie!
Marlene Heise was very happy to have enjoyed her much delayed honeymoon. She assured us that the “Romantic Danube” is indeed, very romantic. Best wishes and continuing happiness to you and hubby Ben Horn.
We’re not sure what Dave Spalinger is inferring, but he procured the following for Pres. David during his recent trip through Utah and Colorado:
- A pot pot
- Alcohol of some type from a Moab Utah distillery.

Carol Smith is back from her most recent trip to Boston to visit her son. She brought Pres. Dave a “Cheers” mug. I am sure that most of you remember that most excellent comedy, unless you were enjoying a little extra cheer during the show.
