Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club and Breakfast Rotary Foundation have since completed countless local projects, too numerous to list. A partial list of projects includes:
 
  • Initiated Wreathes Across America at Bakersfield National Cemetery
  • Initiated and continue to create the Thousand Flags event on Memorial Day at Riverwalk Park
  • Funded the purchase of a document shredder truck for BARC
  • Roofed over 42 homes for Habitat for Humanity
  • Joined other Rotary clubs to fund a bloodmobile for Houchin Blood Bank
  • Sponsored multiple blood drives
  • (C-Rats) program for US troops in Iraq
  • Planted 100 trees in San Miguel Grove in honor of Rotary’s 100th anniversary and continue to maintain the park with the City of Bakersfield.
  • Taken hundreds of young students Christmas shopping
  • Supported the CALM holiday event as volunteers
  • Completed two Breakfast Rotary home makeovers for Bakersfield families in need
  • Christmas gifts each year to senior citizens
  • Ringing the bell for the Salvation Army
  • Prepared and delivered countless Thanksgiving food baskets
  • Held canned and non-perishable food drives for multiple organizations
  • Funded scholarships for high school and college students
  • Supported Relay for Life with time and money
