Scott A. Tangeman has dedicated over four decades to the field of dentistry, making him a trusted and respected figure in Kern County. With 41 years of practice under his belt, Scott has not only cared for countless patients but has also taken on leadership roles within the dental community. He has served as a Board member of The Kern County Dental Association and held the esteemed position of President from 2020 to 2022, guiding the organization through a pivotal time with his expertise and vision.

Scott's journey with the Bakersfield Breakfast Rotary Club (BBRC) began on January 10, 2024, when he joined the club with the sponsorship of Frank Wooldrige. His involvement in Rotary has allowed him to extend his service beyond the dental chair and into the broader community. As a Pancake Breakfast Volunteer, Scott has rolled up his sleeves to support one of the club’s most beloved events, embodying the Rotary spirit of service above self.

Outside of his professional and Rotary commitments, Scott shares his life with his wife, Suzie Tangeman, with whom he has enjoyed 7 wonderful years of marriage. Their family also includes Jasper, their loyal dog, who brings joy and companionship to their home.

When Scott isn’t perfecting smiles or volunteering, you might find him beneath the waves, indulging his passion for scuba diving. The tranquility and adventure of the underwater world offer a refreshing contrast to his busy life above ground.

For Scott, Rotary is more than just a club; it’s a way to stay in touch with the needs of Kern County and to contribute to making his community a better place. His commitment to both his profession and his community continues to inspire those around him, making him a valued member of the BBRC and the larger Bakersfield community.
