Ray Clanton is Senior Engineering Advisor with California Resources Corporation in Bakersfield, Ca.  He has over 30 years of experience in the oilfield, which included various operational and technical positions at Texaco, Bechtel, Aera Energy and California Resources Corporation in California.  He has a professional engineering license in California, and holds BS degree in petroleum engineering from University of Wyoming, and an MBA degree from Cal State University. Ray is a winner of multiple industry awards, including 2006 Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation, and the 2012 SPE Production and Operations Award for outstanding contributions to the industry.  He has been an SPE member since 1985, served as the chairman of local SJV SPE chapter.
