Dear BBRC Members,
This week's Rotary breakfast meeting was notably vibrant, filled with camaraderie, inspirational stories, and collective celebrations.
Opening Ceremonies: The meeting began on a high note with Will Dierksen leading the invocation, followed by Greg Desme with the flag salute, and Carol Smith leading all of us in a spirited rendition of "God Bless America."
Guests and Visiting Rotarians: We welcomed visiting Rotarian Leslie and guests. A special mention goes to Darin Blunt's daughter, Mallory, who is supporting her Girl Scout troop through cookie sales. President Pat introduced guests, Ed Slater and Rick Douglas.
Featured Speaker: Lisa Bowman, from Bowman Asphalt, shared her compelling journey through personal and professional challenges. Her story of perseverance, faith, and the invaluable support of her team was truly inspiring, highlighting the essence of resilience and gratitude.
Recognitions:
Blue Badge Recipients: Congratulations to Dr. Scott Tangeman and Anne Galves, who were awarded their Blue Badges by Willie Gordon, marking their full membership status.
March Birthdays: We celebrated the birthdays of Jeff Haynes, Cheryl Scott, William Gordon, and Frank Wooldridge. President Pat was fined humorously for a misspelling mishap.
Anniversaries: We acknowledged the club anniversaries of Shawn Kelly, Bill Potter, Darin Blunt, Myrna Arias, Erik Bautista, and Duncan Harris. Additionally, we celebrated Dr. Scott and Suzanne Tangeman's wedding anniversary, which brought joy and a generous $20 donation from Dr. Scott Tangeman.
Happy Spots:
Jackie Maxwell shared her excitement about the Alaska trip and gifted President Pat with a unique souvenir.
Rick Douglas donated $20 in celebration of his new granddaughter.
Shane Bryan expressed his happiness with a generous $50 for being back with the group and sharing his recent adventures.
Troy Fringer also shared his happiness with a $50 contribution, cheering for North High basketball's success.
Thank you to all who made this week's meeting a success. Let's carry forward this energy into our upcoming projects and continue making a difference in our community.
