You must be on your toes to be a Breakfast Rotarian; even Past President Dave Spalinger exemplifies that best. One moment Dave could be seen catching up on the latest gossip from fellow Breakfast Rotarians with a cup of coffee in one hand while at the same time stuffing down a delicious Seven Oaks Country Club cinnamon roll, as he is being called by the current president Karen Bonanno to lead our morning invocation. Mission Accomplished!

Charter member Dennis Scott offered our morning invocation, and “It’s a Grand Old Flag” was the chosen song by Song Leader Carol Smith.

Dazzling Pete Leveroni was present to introduce our morning’s featured speaker, Aaron Falk of Kern Community Foundation. Recently appointed to the post in 2021, Aaron maintains a committed level of service to Kern County in this significant responsibility. Formerly a local field representative for Assemblyman Kevin McCarthy, Aaron is all too familiar with the particulars of Kern County and what it takes to highlight our community in the very best light. Having a master’s degree and married with children assure us that Aaron is planted with roots to grow in Kern. We hope he will do the same by overseeing this essential non-profit organization responsible for managing over 200 smaller non-profits and directing over $13 million in donations.
