Rotary is dedicated to six areas of focus to build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever. Today, we will learn about the "Saving mothers and children" focus area. Nearly 6 million children under the age of five die each year because of malnutrition, poor health care, and inadequate sanitation. We expand access to quality care, so mothers and their children can live and grow stronger. |
Thanks everyone for wearing your masks and for social distancing at the last meeting. It will be so nice to see this pandemic in the rearview mirror. Some day. Also, thanks to all who signed up to Host a Wine Place Show Party. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun and hopefully we will raise some dollars for our service projects. We will also be supporting a new local nonprofit with our WPS funds, the Bakersfield Angels. Allison McClain, president of Bakersfield Angels will be speaking this Wednesday.
