Mindy’s Musings 

It was a morning of substitutions on this chilled May morning. As I, Mindy, am this week’s newsletter writer, I apologize ahead of time for the number of times you will see my name. 

Mindy Wilmot and Myrna Arias (who graciously filled in for a new member) greeted BBRCers with a smile. Neil Walker was assigned the invocation but was not present, so Stephanie Baker (who was also filling in as Secretary) quickly stepped up. Michael Turnipseed led us in the flag salute, while Denise Haynes had us sing “You’re a Grand Old Flag.” 

President Karen made a quick $40 as Neil was absent from the morning’s duties, as was Jason Williamson, who was to tell us if there were visiting Rotarians (there were not). But we did have several guests: Donna Schwartz brought a guest (whose name I didn’t get, my apologies), Jennifer Yamauchi and several students from Golden Valley Interact Club, and the beautifully glowing wife of Willie Gordon, Nicole.
